WhatsApp introduces new online status indicator
WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature on iPhone devices that allows users to see if a contact is currently connected to the app in real-time by displaying a small green dot next to their profile picture, while maintaining privacy settings. The feature is now available to users through a beta version on TestFlight, and aims to enhance the experience of checking contact status before sending messages, with the possibility of expanding it in the future to include the entire contacts list and chat interface.
