Morocco Advances in Global Rankings
The Moroccan national team topped the FIFA world rankings for the first time in its history, occupying the fifth place worldwide — the same position Nigeria held in 1994 as the best African ranking. The rest of the African teams were ranked at varying positions, with Tunisia dropping to 61st globally and 15th in Africa, while Morocco continued to lead African football. Morocco continued to achieve historic accomplishments and demonstrated clear progress on both the global and continental levels.
