Tunisian Telegraph: Trump Backs Hassan Execution
U.S. President Donald Trump has approved the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, a former military officer of Palestinian descent, who carried out an attack at Fort Hood in Texas in 2009, resulting in the death of 13 soldiers and injuries to 32 others. This decision was made based on a recommendation from the Secretary of Defense. Hasan, who served as a medical officer in the army, opened fire while shouting "Allahu Akbar" before being shot and killed. It is also noted that he was born in Virginia to Palestinian parents who had previously emigrated from al-Bira.
