The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has reported that its technical secretariat is closely monitoring reports of chemical weapon use in Sudan, amid increasing international concern over the issue. The senior official of the organization, during a meeting in The Hague, confirmed that there is ongoing follow-up on these reports and that the organization is ready to provide assistance if the Sudanese government requests it. This comes amid escalating international accusations of chemical weapons use in the Sudanese conflict, with the European Union emphasizing the need for the Sudanese authorities to address the matter urgently and transparently.
