EU approves tariff deal with Washington
The European Union has reached a final agreement with the United States regarding tariffs, which includes imposing a 15% duty on most EU exports to America, while removing tariffs on American industrial goods. The agreement also aims to protect European interests through guarantees and sets a deadline for its termination at the end of 2029. The deal will come into effect after approval by the European Parliament and is intended to boost trade between the two sides while maintaining the Union's ability to respond swiftly should its interests be threatened.
