The Houthis confirmed targeting a Saudi oil tanker in the northern Red Sea off the coast of Yanbu with ballistic missiles, successfully hitting the vessel "Wafa" with precision. This attack comes a day after they targeted Nejran Airport with a drone, amid escalating tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia. The group announced that since the start of the maritime blockade in July, they have targeted eight Saudi oil ships and prevented 29 vessels from returning, vowing to continue operations against ships and to impose a blockade on maritime routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The Saudi-led maritime coalition, formed by multiple countries, was established to protect freedom of navigation in the region.
