Syrian Foreign Minister to Visit Turkey
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Shibani is planning a visit to Turkey to meet with his counterpart, Hakan Fidan, to assess the efforts made to support stability and security in Syria, and to strengthen bilateral relations by adding a parliamentary dimension and developing cooperation within state institutions. The talks will address the latest developments regarding the integration of northeastern Syria into the central government, as well as Turkey's affirmation of Syria's advancing capabilities in counter-terrorism and its rejection of Israeli policies that hinder Syria’s stability. The two sides will also discuss Turkey's efforts to support a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, the reopening of the Hormuz Strait, and the pursuit of lasting peace.
