Arab and Islamic nations convene in Amman amid religious war warnings
The article reports on a joint Arab and Muslim initiative to counter the unprecedented Israeli escalation in the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites. Participating countries condemned Israeli provocative policies and agreed to take practical steps, including supporting the steadfastness of Jerusalemites, strengthening Palestinian institutions, and engaging internationally to confront ongoing violations. The statement also called for a joint ministerial meeting to be held during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly sessions. Participants emphasized the need to exert international pressure to prevent changes to Jerusalem's historical identity and warned that escalation by the occupation could lead to widespread religious conflicts. The focus remains on implementing a coordinated plan to halt Israeli violations and restore stability to the city.
