Israeli army targets southern Lebanon and advises evacuation
Reports circulated that the Israeli army launched airstrikes in southern Lebanon in response to Hezbollah's launching of two suicide drones targeting its forces in the security zone. The army issued a warning to the residents of Arabsalim to evacuate, warning of the proximity of a Hezbollah facility. These developments are part of an escalating security situation that began in March 2023, after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel in retaliation for American and Israeli strikes on Iran. Since October 2023, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 8,920 people in the region.
