Trump to appoint Jay Clayton for AI leadership
It is anticipated that U.S. President Donald Trump will appoint Gai Clayton, Director of National Intelligence, as the AI Czar at the White House, according to media reports. Clayton is considered the leading candidate for this position, with the White House discussing maintaining him in his current role, and no official appointment has been announced yet. Trump had announced in September that he has a plan to form an "AI Task Force" and would soon name an AI Czar, as this position is becoming increasingly important for shaping U.S. policies in technology and artificial intelligence.
