The Brazilian national team, five-time World champions, defeated India 4-0 in a historic friendly match held in Kolkata. This was the first-ever encounter between the men's teams of the two countries. Brazil showcased their high-level performance led by stars such as Vinícius Júnior and Marquinhos, with Éder Militão opening the scoring in the 28th minute, followed by Pedro in the 42nd minute, and Samuel Lino netting two goals in the second half. Despite limited crowd attendance due to high ticket prices, Brazil was able to reaffirm their dominance in the match. This encounter comes as part of their efforts to rebuild after their unexpected exit from the World Cup at the hands of Norway in July.
