NYT: Bridge bombings may cause logistic issues for Ukraine
The article addresses the recent tensions in Ukraine, highlighting the Russian military's strategy of implementing a "logistical suffocation" approach by targeting bridges and vital infrastructure in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine. It points out that shelling bridges, especially those over the Dnipro River, undermines both military and civilian supply routes, threatening to increase logistical burdens, complicate the lives of city residents, and impact Ukrainian military operations. The report also confirms that this escalation has led to the destruction of several bridges and logistical centers, weakening Kyiv's ability to secure supplies and worsening the country's economic and social conditions. Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry warns of the dangers posed by the presence of foreigners and diplomats in the tense areas.
