Europe Shows Solidarity with Palestine
Over the past three years, Europe has witnessed a widespread wave of protests and solidarity with Palestine. The European Palestinian Media Center documented over 68,000 events and demonstrations across 818 cities in 30 countries, beginning with the Gaza war in October 2023. These activities include more than 53,000 on-the-ground protests and 14,682 digital events, with a significant focus in Italy, Germany, Spain, and France. The popular movement and solidarity have continued continuously over the three-year period. These events occur in the context of the suffering of the Palestinian people, as the Israeli occupation's war on Gaza has resulted in over 74,000 martyrs and 175,000 injuries, with approximately 90% of the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip destroyed. Additionally, abuses against Palestinians in the West Bank continue unabated.
