12 Indian sailors injured in Hormuz attack
Twelve crew members aboard a Panama-flagged tanker were injured in a attack while crossing through the Strait of Hormuz, and all the wounded are receiving treatment in Oman. The attack is part of ongoing tensions in the strait, through which approximately one-fifth of the world's energy supplies pass. Escalating incidents have increased since Iran began obstructing maritime traffic there and firing upon ships accused of taking unauthorized routes. This escalation occurs amid tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel over control of the strait.
