Vatican Reveals Pope Leo XIV Hospital Discharge Date
The Vatican has reported that Pope Leo XIV will be leaving the hospital after undergoing surgery for lung cancer, following confirmation of the operation's success and the absence of complications. He had been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the lung, the most common type of lung cancer, and last week he underwent a removal of the lower lobe of his right lung. The Pope is expected to lead his prayers from his residence at the Vatican in front of crowds in St. Peter's Square tomorrow, Sunday, marking his first public appearance since the treatment, amid continued uncertainty regarding the size of the tumor and the extent of its spread.
