Akeso drug excels in lung cancer study

A recent study has shown that the experimental drug Evanesimab, developed by the Chinese company Akiso, helped patients with advanced stage non-small cell lung squamous cell carcinoma live 15% longer compared to the drug Tefimbra, and reduced the risk of death by over a third. The study was conducted on 532 patients in China, and found that patients who received Evanesimab had an average lifespan of 27.9 months, compared to 23.7 months for those who received Tefimbra. These encouraging results, however, require further studies to confirm.
