Al-Hay Al-Sharfiyah (Al-Hiyam) in Abha suffers from a significant lack of municipal services and infrastructure, despite the urban growth and population expansions it has experienced. The streets lack organized sidewalks, and there are visible potholes and cracks, in addition to the deteriorating condition of the roads and the impact of water and electricity projects on the residential environment. The neighborhood also lacks parks and green spaces, which are essential for improving quality of life and enhancing the beauty of the urban environment. Residents are calling on the Asir Region Municipality to prioritize addressing these issues through clear timelines, including road paving, rehabilitation, and the creation of sidewalks and natural recreational areas, to improve the living environment and make the neighborhood safer and more beautiful.
